From the “Rooftop of the World” surrounded by the Himalayas in China comes this Tibetan princess in a gown that is both haute-couture as it is traditional.
Our exclusive Miss Tibet wears a traditional evening ensemble that begins with a gold mesh lame mandarin sleeveless top that has been gorgeously adorned at mandarin neck with hand-sewn beadwork in deep red and amber gold.
Front is bedecked with three hand-sewn necklaces of mixed semi-precious stones in ball and chip from imported from South Africa, famed for its stones, gems and minerals.
A thinner white seed beads and stone chip necklace adds the final touch to the bodice
A hip-hugging stunner of a skirt in imported Chinese Silk Satin patterned with traditional Chinese floral design is in an antique gold tone.
Skirt has been absolutely smothered in meticulously hand-sewn beadwork of mixed colors: apple green, yellow, cobalt, deep red, amber, gold, white, turquoise, maroon and saffron – stunning!
A hand-sewn “belt” of stone chips hand-sewn and wrapped in gold thread adorned waist and dangles.
Accompanying the ensemble is a thin genuine mink stole wrap lined in imported Chinese silk satin in cobalt with antique gold imported Chinese silk satin brocade.
A traditional headdress which begins with a headband of same imported Chinese satin silk cobalt material has been machine stitched in silver and bedecked with hand-sewn seed beads.
Coming off headband at back are three panel strips of same cobalt Chinese silk satin, also machine edged in silver thread.
Panels have been adorned, like tradition, with hand-sewn stone “rocks” and seed beads complete with hand-made tassel ends of metallic threads.
Dangling from sides of hair are multiple loops of seed bead strands.
Drop earrings of antique turquoise enamel ball beads encased in a cage of wire with dangling stone chips.
