summary: i was born in new jersey, moved to phoenix, arizona in 1978 where i met & married dave (who's my best friend!). isince then we've lived in des moines, back to phoenix and currently living in the kansas city area. i was in the banking/mortgage industry (administrative) for over 20 years until i became a casualty of the declining housing market/recession & lost my job in jan 2008. finally, i followed the advice of my friends and family to pursue my dream of helping animals & am now working as a veterinary assistant part-time.

i always loved playing with barbies as a kid, but unfortunately, my mom sold them all when I was 13 - said I was "too old to be playing with dolls". little did she know that i'd start "playing" with them again as an adult! i have about 400 dolls (including barbie & friends, dawn & friends, & misc. pop culture celebrities). no ninimomo dolls, yet - but it's a goal of mine!!! i watched lots of pageants on tv with my siblings growing up and my favorite part was the evening gown competitions - they were all so beautiful. i feel like a kid again whenever I see ninimomo's creations on-line!
