bill greening is truly the story of the collector in the dreamhouse.  the orange county, california native has long loved barbie; he began collecting barbie dolls in 1987.  his love for the doll and the beautiful illustrations that appeared on vintage products directly led bill to a career in fashion design.  he graduated from california state university long beach, where he received a degree in fashion design and textiles.  his lifelong dream of designing for barbie® doll was realized in 1999.  he began his mattel career creating pink box barbie® dolls, often incorporating his signature style of fun and whimsy into each design.  today, bill works in the barbie collector group, where he’s designed such exciting barbie dolls as the barbie basics collection, pop life. jazz baby and ladies of the 80’s barbie dolls.  being a collector himself, bill also works on the barbie collector vintage reproductions such as the my favorite barbie doll series. bill continues to be very active in the barbie collector community and acts as a moderator on the barbie collector bulletin board at barbiecollector.com.  he loves attending the annual national barbie doll collectors convention and meeting fellow barbie doll collectors.
