as a teacher in gifted education in grosse pointe schools, james is involved in teacher training, staying current on educational trends, and differentiating for students with multiple intellectual abilities and learning styles.  his second career involves being a hair/color apprentice under partner chris klaft, an international hair educator for tigi and bed head. 

they have started christopher james salon at images, a small but personable business in grosse pointe, michigan. 

barbie collecting took off when james brought his young daughter maria to the local grant a wishc convention.  flash forward a few years and he has become a pseudo-expert on all barbie homes and structures, and all dolls from 1959-1985.  he has enjoyed being a part of the great lakes doll club, and attending the past two grant a wish and national conventions.  the whole family attends!  they love the friendships they are forming and enjoy sharing their hobby with others.

james loves keeping an active lifestyle with work, interior design, hobbies and exercise.  however, his favorite times are spent being a homebody with christopher, their two teenage children wilson and maria, and their eclectic posse of dogs and birds.
