We are in no way claiming we made a Rihanna look-alike, our goal was to try to bring in many of the same elements as depicted on the Elle magazine cover. More or less, A Delegate with hints of Rihanna from the magazine cover.  The gorgeous gold and purple beaded number Rihanna is wearing is from Balmain's Fall 2010 Collection. We decided to bring the hemline down to the floor, creating our own Balmain version in an evening gown! The foundation was already perfect for us, a fully beaded dress! We decided to add some interesting beaded elements when designing it for full length. We used some cool applications such as sequin rosettes, unusual triangular purple metallic pailettes, and golden metallic ring pailettes. We also added some cool oversized rings, inspired by the rings Rihanna wears. Finally, with the recent release of the Barbie Basics 002 line, Model 008 was a great choice to accompany the gown. The hairstyle on model 008 reminds us of Rihanna and we even added some black "dye" to get the streaks that she sports on the Elle cover. Finally, we added a gold metallic belt and some scarab gold and swarovski earrings and voila!, we introduce you to Miss Barbados 2011!
