From the Eastern shores of the Mediterranean, the nation of Israel formed in 1948 sends this attention grabbing delegate in John Galliano for Dior’s most stunning creation from the current Spring Summer 08 collection.

Miss Israel is radiant in her exotic evening ensemble in deep burnt orange that is unique with its retro styled construction.

Gown begins with a short sleeve empire top that has been gorgeously hand-beaded in geometric shapes of seed beads highly inspired by famed artist Klimt in shades of deep purple. Burnt orange, golden metallic and black. In addition, tiny hand-sewn golden metallic sequins have been added as well.

Empire top has been enhanced via a thick panel of rich golden metallic embroidered ribbons which have been further enhanced via hand-sewn beadwork of sequins and seed beads also in shades of deep purple, burnt orange and golden metallic.

Lower edge of thick empire hand-beaded band has been adorned with an edging of delicate hand-sewn fringe in golden metallic seed beads.

This gives way to a very exotic and unusual skirt construction which is pleated and puffed through body and gathered at shins via a rich, embroidered gold metallic filigree ribbon.

Ribbon has been enhanced with a hand-sewn row of sequins and seed beads playing off gown’s rich colored themes.

In addition, hand-sewn fringe has been added, like in empire band, in golden metallic seed beads.

Furthermore, scattered hand-sewn golden metallic seed beads have been added above band.

Bottom of gown is gathered, plumed and ruched creating a dramatic hem.

Coming off back of gown is a dramatic panel of gown’s rich satin acting as a decadent train which also gathers at shins via hand-beaded golden metallic embroidered ribbon.

Panel has been gorgeously hand-beaded with abstract geometric shapes in seed beads and sequins of deep urple, burnt orange, metallic gold and black inspired by famed artist Augustus Klimt.

Rich arm bands of embroidered metallic gild filigree layered ribbon adorns wrists, forearm and upper am and have been bedecked richly in genuine Swarovski crystal rhinestones in Hyacinth aurora borealis and Hyacinth.

Drop earrings of golden etched filigree discs adorned with genuine Swarovski crystal rhinestones matching arm bands with genuine Swarovski crystal rhinestone studs.

Blonde hair is worn tightly curled and in a Romanesque pile-up accented via a rich, golden metallic filigree embroiderd layered ribbon bedecked with genuine Swarovski crystal rhinestones.
