Hello from Franklin, Michigan!

My name is Jay Zielinski and I’ve been a vinyl addict since 1997. My addiction is NiniMomo Delegates!

Here’s how it all began: Many years ago, a friend of mine bought me a Barbie Bazaar magazine as a joke—now the joke’s on him! I saw a NiniMomo Creation’s ad in the magazine and was very impressed by the designs. Their creativity lead me to pursue the company making several requested pieces for me.

Growing up, I was raised with a strong Polish heritage. When that happened, I somehow felt connected even though I’ve never had a chance to visit the country. My Polish heritage has always been close to heart. If fact, when I was younger, I performed for 13 years with the Polish Dance Ensemble, ‘Echoes of Poland’, in Toledo, Ohio.

I am proud to brag that I have been the proud owner of a Ninimomo Miss Poland Delegate every year since 1997.

Back in 1992, I was a passenger in a life changing auto accident. The accident took both my mom and dad and left me a quadriplegic. Following the accident and long rehabilitation in Green Springs, Ohio, I moved to Michigan with my partner Ray who was also a passenger in the vehicle.

So, along with my Poland’s, I have also been the owner of the Miss Michigan Delegates since 1997.

Just to make sure you understand my Ninimomo conviction; I own 129 NiniMomo Delegates. This includes Delegates from the International, National, National Gene doll & International Cities Collections. Out of the 129 delegates I have had many ‘runner-ups’ in their yearly Pageant Competitions.

I was lucky to have my Miss USA 1999 crowned “NiniMomo's Doll of the World 2000" and Miss Michigan 2006 was crowned “NiniMomo's Doll of the USA 2006".

While my collection of OOAK doll cabinets are greatly outnumbered by my NiniMomo delegates, I am a true collector and have OOAK dolls by many other designers. These include dolls by Magia2000, CoverDolls, Gillygals, JasmarDolls and Bruce Nygren.

I love each and every one of my dolls for their own uniqueness and quality. Each designer has their own special talents and expertise. For me, the dolls are a reflection of my own personal taste—they show what I love.

My family life is pretty simple. I’ve been partnered for 17 years. Ray and I had a civil union in 1992. We are the owners (and feel like parents) of a 3 year old Shih-Tzu. Her name, of course, is Paczki (like the Polish doughnut). No matter how down or poor our mood, or how bad our bodies ache, we can always depend on Paczki to make us forget–temporarily–our aches and pains. Oh yeah, we also have each other! (I needed to add that because if there’s a Delegate I love—he may buy it for me!)

I’d like to thank Nik and Marie for being my first. Your creations have a uniqueness that’s truly your own. I thank you for re-creating haute couture gowns in Barbie size. I’m partial to Dior, Elie Saab, Zac Posen and Thierry Mugler as the best designers for recreations!

I have added pictures of my Poland and Michigan delegates. While I love all my collection—these are the most precious to me. There is only one picture of me—because I hate having my picture taken. (I would never be chosen to be Miss Photogenic).

Because I have lots and lots of delegates, there are a few that I may be willing to sell. This benefits me by making room for future purchases!

Also, if you’d like to purchase a crown for your delegate, I was the owner of “Fit for a Queen”, specializing in doll tiara’s and jewelry. While new interests have taken me in other directions, I am still able to have a crowns created.
