In business for 12 years now, NiniMomo Creations specializes in OOAK Barbie Pageant Delegate doll designs. Each delegate reflects designers Nik Moronese and Marie LeBreton’s belief in originality, quality and creativity. The company prides itself on creating hand-beaded evening gowns that are not only elegant and sophisticated, but are practical in the sense that it would be no surprise to see some of these designs on Milan’s runways. In fact, Nik and Marie have been gaining inspiration from many of the world’s top designers. So when the time came to decide their Silent Auction entry, the decision was easy.  The theme for this year’s convention “Barbie on the Runway” was a perfect fit for the two.  NiniMomo’s favorite  designer is John Galliano of the House of Dior.  The two believe that Galliano profoundly captures fashion as art in all his couture creations.  Particularly fascinated with Dior’s Spring/Summer 2007 Haute Couture show, Nik and Marie decided this was the theme that they wanted to re-create.  Galliano dazzled the French audience with a marriage between Japanese art and folklore and the timeless elegance of Dior.  Galliano’s attention to detail such as his concentration on origami as fashion, is evident in NiniMomo’s replicas for this year’s live auction.
