Being that this is Barbie’s 50th Birthday Celebration, We are very excited to create Barbie as the “Belle of   the Ball’ for her special day. When desigining, it was essential to capture the oppulence of such a               celebration.  
Since a 50th anniversary is considered ‘golden’, we knew that the color gold must play a role in the color scheme. Wearing a couture ball gown inspired by Christian Dior, this custom repainted birthday girl with custom rooted lashes is off to her very own Ball in a cloud of pink organza.
A key feature of this gown is the origami folded layers which  comprise the skirt section and the bodice.       NiniMomo’s  quintessential hand-sewn beadwork adorns the tips of each origami fold as well as her            detailed bodice and her full ball skirt. 
Barbie dons golden gauntlets richly accented with hand sewn beadwork and a custom made masquerade  mask by artist Linda Taylor.
Barbie’s necklace and earrings add a dazzling accent in genuine Swarovski crystals.                                Shimmering through-out the gown are hundreds of genuine Swarovski crystal rhinestones making this the perfect celebration gown.
Finally, topping off this rich look is a Philip Treacy inspired marabou and beaded chapeau.
