Michigan, the state that has hailed many superstars pays tribute to one of their biggest, Madonna, with this smashing delegate wearing a Dolce & Gabbana inspired evening ensemble worn for the encore (Justify My Love) of her 1993 Girlie Tour.
Miss Michigan turns all heads in this D&G inspired ensemble that begins with a custom created silk taffeta hand-painted pin-stripe vest.
Back of vest features a smoky gray taffeta, also 100% silk.
Vest has been absolutely covered in hand-sewn beadwork of fish scale iridescent and translucent sequins.
Hand-sewn tiny black buttons adorn vest.
Miss Michigan sports a polka dot black jacquard dandy.
Worn beneath the vest is a dramatic 100% silk charmeuse white blouse featuring long sleeves with opulent, oversized bell sleeves.
Wrists have been accented with tiny black bows and bell sleeves have been layered with a layer of white chiffon complete with lush white lace edging.
White lace edging of sleeve’s lining has been gorgeously enhanced via hand-sewn beadwork of mixed white and translucent clear tiny sequins and seed beads.
Shirt also features a dramatic high silk charmeuse collar.
Accompanying the look is a stunning and dramatic retro styled bustle skirt in 100% silk charmeuse in black.
Skirt begins with a top layer of ruched and cinched 100% silk black charmeuse which has been beautifully adorned with scattered hand-sewn beadwork in black sequins and seed beads.
Back of this top layer has been styled in an exaggerated bustle.
Beneath this dramatic top skirt is a long matching 100% silk black charmeuse skirt which is shorter at front ending in a long, opulent train at back.
This too has been gorgeously adorned with scattered hand-sewn beadwork in black sequins and seed beads.
An attention grabbing top hat, custom made, has been covered in 100% silk crepe in silvery gray and features a matching gray satin ribbon brim.
The quintessential Girlie Show accessories also accompany Miss Michigan, the first being her satin eye patch that has been covered in hand-sewn miniscule sequins. Eye patch features a black stretch cord.      
Also custom created are Miss Michigan’s gold wire monocles which hang from her neck in black thin ribbon.
Black “suede” high boots have been custom sewn with lattice “laces” of matching black threading.
