From the land of the Aztec Empire comes our classic Mexican Mariachi Ken bedecked in an extravagant and very authentic Mariachi costume.
Mexican ken begins with a classic white cotton button down complete with buttons down front and cuffs.
100% silk taffeta slim fit pants are worn with a faux black leather belt with silver buckle.
Pants have been exquisitely embroidered with a rich, silver metallic threaded pattern and has been beautifully enhanced with hand-sewn beadwork of miniscule silver metallic seed beads and sequins.
A matching black 100% silk taffeta vest has also been embroidered with silver metallic pattern and this too has been richly hand-beaded to match.
Vest has been closed via two hand-sewn “barrel” filigree silver beads.
The matching black Mariachi bolero style jacket, also in 100% silk black taffeta has been exquisitely embroidered in same silver pattern metallic thread along edges, sleeve and pockets.
Jacket has been richly hand-beaded in same metallic miniscule sequins and seed beads throughout.
A red 100% silk charmeuse bowtie adorns neck.
Finally, the quintessential sombrero, custom made in black felt has been painstakingly hand-beaded and hand-embroidered on both sides in silver thread and tiny silver metallic sequins and seed beads.
Sombrero also features silver threaded brim and silver wire tie.
Mariachi Ken definitely needs a musical instrument and our Mariachi Ken dons a classic acoustic guitar bedecked with silver filigree bead cap and black and white guitar strap.
Facial hair has been custom flocked in dark brown for mustache and beard
