Celebrating F. Scott Fitzgerald’s “The Great Gatsby”, set on Long Island’s Gold Coast comes this stunning retro art deco Great Gatsby beauty in an evening gown inspired by Dior.
Miss Long Island is determined to nab the NiniMomo crown in her retro 20’s Dior inspired gown in 100% silk charmeuse in deep fuchsia.
Her gown has been stylishly bias cut and features a halter style 20’s top, side slit and long exaggerated train.
Bodice has been gorgeously decorated with a hand-painted floral pattern in periwinkle, peach, fuchsia, mint green, pine green, champagne and red all of which has been gorgeously bedecked with hand-sewn beadwork in matching seed beads.
Bodice has also been edged in gold hand-sewn seed beads.
Fuchsia bodice attaches to a thin panel of fuchsia and golden lattice mesh lace and painstakingly attached to the edge of this mesh lace and creating the halter support are over 15 custom dyed deep fuchsia fringe strands all of which have been meticulously wrapped in golden thread and attached to lace.
These fuchsia fringe drape around neck and tie asymmetrically at back creating a lovely swag.
Hand finished custom dyed fuchsia fringe tassels also have been added to back of gown and drape gorgeously as well.
Lower back is sexy as it is open with gold and fuchsia mesh and also has been delicately decorated with hand-sewn beadwork in same custom painted floral pattern as on top.
Custom painted floral clusters show up at slit edge of gown and on center back train, all of which have been hand-beaded.
Edging the slit and exaggerated train of gown, all along fuchsia silk charmeuse edge is a scalloped pattern of hand-beaded metallic gold seed beads which have been enhanced with sparkling genuine Swarovski crystal rhinestones.
Attaching to charmeuse edge along both slit and train is same strip of fuchsia and gold metallic lace mesh.
Attaching to edge of lace mesh are dozens upon dozens of custom made tiny fuchsia fringe tassels all of which have been hand wrapped in golden thread and individually attached to mesh lace creating a gorgeous repetitive pattern of lush fringe.
Miss Long Island wears a matching silk charmeuse headband bedecked with golden filigree train and genuine Swarovski crystal rhinestones.
Headband has been accented with an art deco golden filigree ornament accented in Swarovski crystal rhinestones and a fuchsia marabou feather.
Matching her headband is her golden filigree fan which has been bedecked with sparkling genuine Swarovski crystal rhinestones and fuchsia marabou feathers.
