The Buck-eye State of Ohio explodes with the introduction of their stunning, attention commanding Diva in a gown replica from Dior’s Fall/Winter 2004 couture show.
Miss Ohio is a star in her intricately constructed Dior evening gown that begins with a bandeau top of skin-matching deep cocoa lycra.
Just below this bandeau, the stunning evening gown begins with a double pleated edging of crème matte satin that gives way to bodice of same satin.
Bodice has been adorned with hand-sewn beadwork of large camellias in shades of iridescent cocoa, taupe, dusty rose, spring green, butterscotch and crystal in shimmering sequins and sparkling seed beads.
Coming off hips are panels of same crème matte satin that have also been bedecked with a continuation of the camellia flower in hand-sewn beadwork.
As only Dior can do, coming off these panels are four tiered panel strips of crème satin in staggered lengths, all of which have been wired for shaping.
Top two panel strips have also been bedecked with the continuation of hand-sewn camellia beadwork.
Gown continues in a form-fitting style to knees. This portion of gown has been gorgeously covered in a lush, pleated and ruched panel of same crème satin beautifully accented in hand-sewn beadwork.
At knees, gown bellows out into a large, dramatic mermaid flounce of crème satin panels which have been meticulously hand-painted with floral and leaf images.
Flounce has been painstakingly covered in hand-sewn beadwork of sequins and seed beads in gown’s themed colors covering meticulous hand painted images.
A custom made hoop petticoat gives support to this impressive flounce.
