Miss Papua New Guinea wears an unusual evening gown of retro 60’s printed gabardine in a faux halter style.
Gown is unusual with its edging at bodice and hem of colorful red fringe. 
Gown with its black base and multi color print has been absolutely smothered in painstakingly hand-sewn beadwork of mixed seed beads in shades of garnet, red, lime, avocado, turquoise, deep emerald, tangerine and white covering entire print of fabric.
Gown has also been accented at bodice, waist and thighs and hem edge with hand-sewn rows of turquoise layered sequins and matching seed beads. 
Matching wrist band bracelets of same material featuring same red fringe has been accented with rows of hand-sewn double layered turquoise seed beads and sequins.
Dangling from wristbands are dramatic hoop and sequins tassels in turquoise
A traditional headband of red suedette has been decorated with hand-sewn accents and tufts of white feathers. A tiny sequins and seed bead headband adorns forehead.
