Miss Philippines is wearing a very unusual style of gown which consists of a surplice style top which covers left halter strap and extends down past thigh, asymmetrically. Surplice consists of a rich and delicate filigree silk and metallic mesh which has been overlaid upon white crystalline chiffon. Surplice has been gorgeous covered with painstakingly hand sewn beadwork consisting of hundreds of single seed beads in mixed colors of crystal, slate, smoke, gray and cadet. Lower hem of surplice has been adorned with a stunning “v” fringe of crystal bugles and mixed seed beads that match beadwork.
Halter gown, itself, composed of shimmering silk organza which features a mini bouquet of silver lame Chinese roses at left shoulder.
Coming off roses is a long panel of flowing white chiffon which gathers at left wrist.
